We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday 23 February for the opening of this hybrid edition, live online from the Louvre auditorium!
The evening will be accessible live on our website and on the 3D immersive space that we have prepared with love for this new edition. Based on 3D scans and photogrammetry of the Louvre auditorium, this experimental space will allow you, via your web browser, to explore the Louvre auditorium and access the programme in real time.
It is a special opening evening that we are preparing, like an oscillation between real and surreal, where your experience of physical and digital spaces will mingle

A beautiful surprise screening, rare films screened in international premieres

7 PM. DE NATURA
We will meet mythological creatures, a bestiary frozen in time and extraordinary animals. Constantly moving through a forest, we will meet its inhabitants, both actors and ghosts, and a lone man walking on an island.

9 PM. PERFORMANCE „ULTRASOCIAL POP”
To close this opening, a performance by Filip Markiewicz, with electric guitar, voice and video.

A major event dedicated to contemporary audiovisual creation, Rencontres Internationales invites you to discover online its new programme, with free access, from 23 to 28 February 2021, live from the Louvre auditorium.
In the presence of artists and filmmakers from all over the world, this new edition offers an exceptional programme, bringing together 122 works from 39 countries. Conceived as a laboratory for discovery and reflection dedicated to contemporary practices of the moving image, the 2020 edition is the result of in-depth research and invitations to prominent and emerging figures of the cinema and contemporary art fields.
