Fretwork. Back in the days when girls had „handicraft” in technology education and boys “fretwork”, I didn’t understand why the boys’ group got the most interesting part of the subject that was supposed to teach us practical things, such as… cooking in the case of the girls’ group. I didn’t like those classes. I’m not very fond of them now either :). I’d still rather drive nails, cut, snip, glue and, if I had the necessary materials, I would also do fretwork! And pyrography! Among this handful of preferences, there is no wonder that CODRIA jewelry and accessories drew my attention at a craft fair for handmade objects.
Therefore, I found out their story:
The root of inspiration for our creations lies in nature, especially in the forest, with its flora, fauna, landscapes, including people and states of mind. When I chose the name, I looked for that something that could capture the story of the forest as we feel it, I compiled a list of names and this one came out the winner. It is feminine and powerful, and it reflects our vision – the forest vitalizes and amazes us.
The logo looks very delicate, who designed it?
The concept of the logo comes from Anca Milchiș, and the details were shaped together with Alina Ciocotișan.
In addition to the special technique of these accessories, the graphics also caught my attention: animals and floral symbols, carefully engraved, drawn, fret sawed, clearly being a part of a universe with a particular purpose:
Initially we created a collection of souvenirs inspired by the forests of Transylvania, with deer, trees and birds. Then we decided to expand the story with more varied wooden products that would bring joyfulness and nature closer to us, the ones who live in the middle of the city. CODRIA creations tell the story of nature through the symbols and details used in their design.
The creators of the brand, Anca and Alina, say that the most noticeable quality of the products is that: They are full of warmth, originality and fulfill the need of man to be closer to the natural world.
