I was a kid and, whenever I could, I lingered by some river looking for stones that once watered and washed showed a special coloring and became instantly precious! Okay, they had to be constantly wetted to stay “precious”. My children and all the kids I know do the same. The fascination for bright, colorful, precious stones, gemstones appears among our preferences in childhood. Why?… I do not know, we could certainly find some exegetes stuffed with explanations, but if we take a peep behind it, it is not so difficult to spot the intricate and adventurous history wherein culture interacts with stone in all stages of civilization. The Gemstone Treasure is a leitmotif in all stories and finding it stands for the solving all problems!
I don’t know whether the “gemstone treasure” found in Florina Becichi’s workshop can guarantee success, but I know that the bracelets created by her under the brand Flow are more than mere strings of elegantly compiled pebbles. Flow bracelets have a few extra qualities in addition to the aesthetic: I always found semi-precious stones quite beautiful and they also have so many properties through which they are so beneficial to the bearer. My wish is to create the most personalized product possible. I have noticed that people choose the stone they need, the one that suits them best, and I try to help with suggestions about the chosen combinations if they decide to wear several bracelets. I would like to create some jewelry with a personal value, items that resonate with the wearer and that also offer certain benefits due to the interaction of the stones with the body.
Flow is by the way a very good word for the message of the brand designed by Camelia Imbuzan, and as I know her well enough, I’m sure there is a perfect author-brand-product symbiosis at play. Flow bracelets are made in small series and you can enjoy personalized versions by ordering on Instagram @flow_handmade_jewelry.
