Everybody has considered at some point, at least in passing, moving away from the city and stress, to some place with fresh air and a vegetable garden, mountain flowers, aromatic plants, sky close by and quiet. Yeah, it sounds idyllic and for most of us it is at most a lovely holiday. But for Ramona Suciu, it is a true heimat! Yes, for my friend, 90% of the daily routine is wrapped around her garden in Râşca, while “holiday” is not exactly the right word for maintaining and growing an eco/bio garden on a mountain ridge. Such a garden, one that looks like that, smells like that, and especially tastes like that, can not be abandoned for an August all-inclusive in an exotic place. Such a garden is groomed daily, it is loved and it is called GreenFingers!
I asked Ramona why she chose this name? Green fingers is a British expression designating the talent of being a good gardener. They say you have “green fingers” if the plants in your garden grow big and beautiful.
The brand identity is perfect and the logo fits like a glove! Where did everything start? Ramona answers: GreenFingers sprang from a passion for gardening, from respect and care for nature, from sun, air and mountain water. These are the perfect ingredients to produce healthy and tasty plants. Ingredients that, paired with the desire to share the fruits and a visual identity made by Studio Meka (www.studiomeka.ro), gave us two years ago to the GreenFingers brand.
I have tasted the goodies of GreenFingers since their first delivery and I invite you to do the same, but of course, we are talking about a garden that cannot produce substantial commercial quantity, it gives it as much as it should to a list of loyal people with a passion for taste!
GreenFingers is 50 km away from Cluj, on the northern side of the Apuseni Mountains, at an altitude of 900 meters. Organic vegetables and fruits, aromatic herbs and edible flowers are grown here. After careful picking and packaging, the products are delivered to Cluj, 5 months a year, from May to October.
