The Living-Room - Hassium.ro

Sometime in April we launched an open-call for artists to send us drawings and sketches done during isolation. We received drawings, photos and texts, that were up to be exhibited in Anca”s living-room (Cluj-Napoca), in Ioana”s country house barn (Nadiș) and when public events will be possible again, all of the works will be showed at Hangar F in Alba Iulia with a proper opening! Meanwhile, the first opening of this project was at The Livingroom, a fresh opened space, very classy, with good wine and good people, all four of them :). But first, take a look at our open-call back in April:

Hassium.ro (Ioana & Anca, the short list :)) launches the first call for papers in the Quarantine Projects series. We consider it is the ideal time for the re-inventory of our environment, to discover the expressive potential of the ordinary objects we are surrounded by without giving them any credit from this perspective. Isolated from the studios for at least another month, we will switch from large painted compositions to homemade A4 sketches, drawing our bedside tables in the bedroom and studying the kitchen sinks, loading them on a digital platform to admire them from the distance, in an attempt to keep in touch and be creative . And we invite you to join in! We welcome your drawings, sketches, watercolors and photographs 🙂 To begin with we have delimited some categories just to get us started, we are waiting for proposals to expand them:
#1 The most useful thing I owe. ( or The most beautiful, The ugliest, The meaningless… etc.)
#2 Stained or dirty little thing.
#3 Mechanism.
#4 That which can be thrown away.
